I made one of my rare visits to the office today.
I happened to be in the area after a personal appointment this morning, so I decided to drop by just to visit.
It was really nice just getting to see folks and chat with them. When you work at home, you don't get to chat much. Every contact has to be intentionally initiated, and then there's usually a purpose for the contact, and once that is accomplished, the contact ends. No casual chit-chats waiting for the coffee pot to finish filling, or the bladder to finish emptying.
Well, one of the guys looked at me and asked "have you lost weight?"
He might as well told me I'd won the lottery - it made me so happy.
Well, maybe I would have been more happy if I'd won the lottery, but nonetheless, it was really nice.
