I just received my first issue of "The Week."
I was offered the subscription as a freebie, so I figured I'd give it a try. It sounded like it might be interesting.
Well, I'm half way through my first issue, and so far, I give it a resounding thumbs up.
It seems to do a great job of summarizing current events by distilling and presenting viewpoints from other publications.
Here's how the magazine describes itself:
What is The Week?
The Week is a witty, informative, important, and completely indispensable digest of the best reporting and writing from the U.S. and international press. In just 40 pages, it will bring you up to date on what’s happening at home and abroad, and what the experts are saying about it.
One of the things that I really like is that it provides multiple viewpoints on the same issue / event.
So far, I'd have to say that their self-description is pretty accurate.
I might even be willing to pay for it after my free subscription ends!
