A Productive Weekend

In addition to the automotive repairs, I actually accomplished some other honey-do's this weekend including...

Fixing the power head on the Ryan trimmer/tiller/etc. which even my mechanically gifted next door neighbor gave up on. The fix entailed cleaning the air filter, adjusting the carburetor, and adjusting the idle.

Fixing the leaking drain pipe under the laundry room sink, which entailed removing the trap, and applying a bead of plumber's putty to the top flange before reinstalling the drain pipe.

Replacing two toilet seats. For the master bath, we opted for the fancy anatomically shaped solid plastic model. For the downstairs, we went with a green wood core seat to compliment the fancy new paint and border. To protect against absorption of any potentially odiferous... um, "stuff," I sprayed three coats of clear sealer on the bottom of the seat before installing it.

Resetting all of the clocks in the house on Sunday morning.

It always makes me feel good when I can "fix" stuff.
